This is the outside of the successful farmer's house.
The farmer's bedroom is quite the place to stay!

Bedroom (3): The bedroom is used to sleep in. No social events are allowed in the bedroom, and only family members are allowed. The only purpose of the bedroom is to sleep in at night. There are three bedrooms in this house for the farmer and his wife, the male children, and the female children. The purpose of the three bedrooms is for the large family the farmer may have. I chose this picture because it represents the wealthy look the successful farmer is showing by a overhanging bed.
Guest Bedroom (1): The guest bedroom is for guests that may stay in the farmer's house. The guest bedroom is rather small because the farmer is not a very friendly man and doesn't have many friends. The guest bedroom in this house is rather unused. The guest bedroom is shown as the way that this farmer likes to show his wealth. The guest bedroom has an overhang bed with a nice and smooth paint. I chose this picture because it shows the nice overhang bed and wallpaper that the farmer would want to show for his guests.
This is the girls' bedroom.
This is the master bedroom for the farmer and his wife.
Parlor (2): There is two parlors in the house; one is for the men and one is for the women. The women's is smaller because the men at this time thought that men were the important gender in society. The farmer who lives here also shows his wealth through both parlors. This picture is the one I chose because it shows the nice things in a parlor that they would want to give off. The wallpaper and nice furniture show wealth.
This is the women's parlor. The women sitting is the farmer's wife.
Kitchen (1): The kitchen is the place where food is prepared. This family doesn't have two kitchens. The food is prepared and ready to serve in the kitchen. The women of the house work in the kitchen because there is no slaves needed/wanted in the Middle Colonies, where the farmer lives. The kitchen is not connected to the house. The fireplace in the kitchen, used to cook food, is quite big. It has a rotisserie and a huge pot for boiling water and making stew or soup. I chose this picture because it shows they have enough money to buy and make a big oven to cook food.
Dishes/Laundry(1): The laundry/dishes room is right next to the kitchen. They are separate rooms, but they share a building. The dishes room is very small because only the females wash the dishes and laundry. It is used about every three days. I chose this because because it shows the buckets and small room a farmer would own.
This is the stove. It uses rotisserie and a big pot for soups and stews.
Informal Dining Room (1): The informal dining room is where the family eats on a regular basis. The client will use this room under normal conditions. The family has wallpaper, but they just have a table. The children can use the desk for their schoolwork and to play games. I chose this picture it would be a very simple room, like a farmer of this time would have for an informal room. In the picture, the wallpaper is showing that he cares, even in an informal room, that he is showing his wealth.

Dishes are ready to be done!
Formal Dining Room (1):The dining room is used to eat and socialize with guests though many courses. This room is decorated with the queen and king's portrait and a marble fireplace. This is used for the client because he can afford to show his wealth through his dining room for his guests. I chose this picture because this room shows the wealth that the farmer would try to show his wealth through gold, nice blue paint, and the nice china on the table.
This is the formal dining room.
Pantry(1): The pantry is used to store food like dried meat or fruit for the winter. The pantry for the farmer is right next to the kitchen and the dishes room. The pantry is rather small, but larger than the dishes room. I chose this picture because I think that a farmer would not want to waste some of his wealth on a storage room for food. I chose this picture because it shows simplicity for such a nonpublic room.
Fields and Barns: The fields are used to produce crops for the farmer to sell and eat himself. He may grow barley, wheat, rye, and other grains. The barns are used for cattle and other animals. He also may have some pastures for his animals to graze off of. The farmer does have a garden for the family to use and grow food for. I chose these pictures because it shows the large amount of land the successful farmer may have, and the wealth that he would want to show off.
I think that a successful farmer would enjoy and upkeep such a house for his life because of his great occupation.
The barn is in the background. His horses are grazing.
This is the small pantry.
